Hello world! Welcome to The Lands, a Disney parks fan page that I’ve split off from my Average Traveller travel blog. My very earliest memories are of looking up at the entry gates to Disneyland while still in my stroller and watching the animatronics from America Sings.

I’ve never let go of that feeling and I still always make sure to stop and soak in the sights, sounds, and smells of the parks at the that exact magical moment when the sun starts to set and the lights all come up.

I created this dedicated site for all things Disney parks because I have a lot of Disney photos that would overwhelm my regular site. I’m also planning to do a lot of smaller photo posts here which don’t really fit with the main travel site.

As with my other blog, the purpose of The Lands is to journal my photos and stories from my experiences. By keeping my journal in blog format I can share my photos with family and friends, provide some tips and tricks, and preserve some of the stories for myself (because I have a terrible memory).

Subject to workload from my real job, I’ll try to post here once a week until I run out of material. I’ll focus posts on different rides and attractions from each park as well as all of the little details from the parks that caught my attention long enough to photograph.

Initially the site will be weighted towards Anaheim, Hong Kong, and Tokyo because my photographs of the other parks are over 10 years old and also terrible.
